Robert Hawcridge (New Zealand, 1866 - 1920) Bicycle Manufacturing: a superb leather-bound and gilt titled, hand painted and illuminated presentation from the employees of the Massey Harris Company of New Zealand, to William Andrew shields, September 1900, on the occasion of his 'Promotion to the Management of the Company's implement Business in Victoria.....Your Powers of Organisation, keen Business Ability, and untiring Zeal have placed the Massey Harris Company far in front of all Competitors, both in the implement ans Bicycle trade of New Zealand....'; with ornate watercolour and ink frontis by Hawcridge; a small landscape featuring Mt. Earnshaw, diamond lake and lake Wakatipu and another featuring Mt. Cook; both with hand-painted floral surrounds.
