Miniature Sago Pots from Papua New Guinea

A pair of miniature Damarou Sago pots, Aibom village, Papua New Guinea, Sago pots are made from rings of softened clay that are moulded together and then pulled upwards, creating the thin walls of these vessels. They are used for the storage of flour. Tallest height 17.5 cm, depth 9.5 cm
