A wood carved food bowl, Solomon Islands, carved from a single piece of wood. In an oval form on a rectangular base. With human figures on either end of the bowl. Including a letter from the Auckland Institute and Museum dated 17/7/1979. The letter notes the bowl was collected in Wata, village, Sepik River, height 21 cm, width 49 cm, depth 17 cm
