A Japanese ceramic planter, first half, 20th century, the fish bowl shaped small planter, decorated in moriage enamels in a blue, bright gold, green and white palette with scrolls and mons on jeweled grounds with a patterned neck, the interior painted with four koi fish, stamped with maker's mark to the underside. Height 12 cm, diameter 15.5 cm
