A signed Japanese Kutani jug and a vase, late Meiji period (1868-1912), the fine ovoid jug decorated with twenty-one shaped reserves depicting daily life narratives from birth to old age, and a small vase with interior and birds on branches panels, upon patterned grounds, with gilt and iron red borders, each with Kutani marks underside, the jug with maker's mark.
