A George II Irish silver lidded loving cup, the body with central stepped rib and large engraved coat of arms of Thompson, Lord Haversham, 2nd Baron, died 1745- title then extinct. The domed lid with engraved crest conforming with the shield to the cup, both being for Thompson. The cup bearing only a maker's mark for John Moore, entered 1728. The lid Dublin 1735 by David King. Height 32.5 cm. 1550gm.
