A rare and fine Chinese yellow-ground blue and white 'Dragon' bowl, Kangxi six-character mark in underglaze blue and of the period (1662-1722). The bowl is finely potted with deep rounded sides rising from a tapered foot to an everted rim, the interior with a central medallion enclosing a five-clawed blue dragon on a yellow ground, the exterior similarly decorated with a pair of sinuous five-clawed dragons striding through flames above overlapping lotus petals.
