1886 Football Medal, showing on front a footballer running with ball in hand and 'Stokes and Martin, Melbourne'; verso with 'Victoria 1886' with leaves between the word and the date with a blank centre; hold at top. Believed to be associated with an inter colonial football match. Only the third example known to us, one example is held in the Museum Victoria Collection, the second example was sold by us in April 2015 for $1159 inc Bp. In 1886 the Melbourne Football Club visited Hobart. The Tasmanian's won the game.
