The Battle of Waterloo chess set, by Franklin Mint, 1987, 32 pewter chessmen on red and blue enamelled pedestals; the pewter-finished playing area with timber case. The top of the chess board lifts to reveal separate storage compartments for each of the thirty-two chess pieces. The chess board is 33 x 33 cm; complete and in excellent condition. Napoleon and his men are on blue pedestals; Wellington's are on red.
