19th Century Maori Patuki Hand Club with Carved Designs

A 19th century Patuki (hand club). The blade with triangular cross-section tapering to a smooth shouldered grip and carved butt. Carved in rauponga patterns with triple hae hae and pataki. Embellished with cut paua and pierced for suspension. Length 43 cm.
