Phar Lap bit as used by Jim Pike 1930-31 A training bit from Jim Pike's racing collection, as sold by Mrs Olga Pike to Roger East, then finally to auction as described by Tom Thompson for Cromwells 75th Anniversary Phar Lap auction, where items like Pike's whip, head cap, and boots were purchased by the National Museum of Australia. Gift of the owner to Thompson, following the successful auction, noted on www.pharlap.co.uk. Comes with the original description by East.
