'John Bull's Advice. See the Klondyke Nugget!', colour lithographic poster by Moody Bros. Birmingham, circa 1900, with an inlaid printed label advertising a performance at the Clarence Theatre, Pontypridd (Wales) on December 19 [1900], 52 x 77 cm; matted 65 x 92 cm. A striking poster produced in England for S.F. Cody's stage production, the Klondyke nugget, a gory melodrama, written by and starring wild West showman S.F. Cody, set against the Klondike gold rush. The imagery includes an Australian Bushman wearing a slouch hat, with a kangaroo leaning on his shoulder.
