A 19th century kapeu (ear pendant). Finely carved in Kawakawa variety stone with dark inclusions throughout the shaft and small pale inclusion at the apex. Traditional stone tooled suspension hole. Provenance: found at Kaipara harbour in the 1950s height 12 cm.
