An early 18th century hei tiki. Type I form carved in opaque inanga variety stone. The head tilted to the left displays widely recessed eye rings and sharply rendered nasal bridge and mouth with tongue and three teeth. Countersunk suspension hole to the top of the head. Height 10 cm.
