A Japanese export carved desk or dressing table and matching chair, early 20th century, the crescent-shaped table with an asymmetrical gallery of stepped shelves between a small cupboard and a drawer, a frieze drawer below, on cabriole legs, the whole richly carved and pierced in deep relief with dragons and foliate decoration, the associated chair of similar style and decoration.
