A Chinese famille rose bowl of square form on a raised foot, each side finely painted with garden scenes and a mountain backdrop. One of the sides has a white elephant. On the base a six character seal mark in iron red of Daoguang, the base has the same turquoise glaze on the base as the interior of the bowl. An old waxed seal to base. A small fine crack, Qing Dynasty 8 cm high, 13 cm square

  • Qing Dynasty - The Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty of China, ruling from 1644 to 1912. It was established by the Manchu people, who originated from the northeastern region of China. The Qing Dynasty was preceded by the Ming Dynasty and followed by the Republic of China.
