Su Xinping (b. 1960), Untitled 1 (19/29) Print-Multiple, Lithograph Signed in Chinese by the artist (lower right) Dated 1994 61.5 x 46.3 cm. Su Xingping (b. 1960), is a well-known Chinese contemporary artist. Currently the deputy Head of Printmaking in the Central Academy of Fine Art in Beijing, Su's works cross medium such as oil and print, and he participated in and held numerous group and solo exhibitions around the world. During the 1990s, Su created a few series of works depicting humans or body parts floating in ocean, struggling in whirlpools or to breath fresh air, as a metaphor of the human condition during that particular period of time.
