A Satsuma bowl and vase, Meiji/Taisho period (early 20th century), of lobed form, exquisitely painted in enamel and gold with ribbons of waves and flowers, further panels of flowers and butterflies inside bowl with dragon in a landscape to centre, maker's mark underside; the bottle shaped vase with panels of peony and other blooms, and opposing figural reserves to neck. Height 5 cm. Diameter 8 cm. (bowl) height 9 cm. Diameter 6.5 cm. (vase)
