The World War II medal group awarded to George Albert Dust, Engineer Warrant Officer, Royal Air Force 364595, includes M.B.E. (Mily), The Defence Medal, 1939-1945 Medal, For Long Service & Good Conduct Medal, Italy Star, The 1939-1945 Star, Dunkirk (La Ville De Dunkerque) 1940. The M.B.E. with associated documents, original box, etc., including 'Summary of Recommendation' stating 'In one particular instance every aircraft in the Squadron was rendered unserviceable by the effects of a storm on the last day of 1943 but, in spite of difficulties, all of the aircraft except one were flying within three days...... Warrant Officer Dust's technical ability, backed by exceptional powers of command as a disciplinarian and his insistence on maintaining the highest standard, coupled with a complete disregard for his own safety, in the face of the enemy, have been a fine example to all ranks'. Other certificates and documents included, discharge papers, Dunkirk certificate and receipts.
