A matching pair of Chinese porcelain rice bowls, Qing Dynasty, late 19th to early 20th century, the deep flared bowls each raised on a small circular foot, having metal rims and decorated with the auspicious symbols of Buddhism in polychrome enamels upon a white ground and between key fret and ruyi borders; with iron red Guangxu mark underside. Height 6.5 cm. Diameter 12.5 cm

  • Qing Dynasty - The Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty of China, ruling from 1644 to 1912. It was established by the Manchu people, who originated from the northeastern region of China. The Qing Dynasty was preceded by the Ming Dynasty and followed by the Republic of China.
  • Polychrome - Made or finished in many colours. For furniture, it is used to indicated a painted finish.
