An 'Aurea' Sandwich plate by Clarice Cliff, circa mid 1930s, the shaped square plate with broad sunflower style blooms in pink, yellow and green colours above sinuous brown stems and a grassy floral base, handpainted over the deep cream glaze, with black backstamps of 1930-52 period for Royal Staffordshire Wilkinson Honeyglaze and Wilkinson Ltd, and also impressed registration mark.
