Riddell Marly was a Melbourne-based interior design firm with a history dating back to the early 1940s. The firm was founded by Reg Riddell, a talented interior designer and stage designer. Riddell began his career as an art dealer, but he quickly found his passion in interior design. He opened his first interior design practice, Riddell Interiors, in 1945. Riddell's work was quickly recognized for its elegance, sophistication, and attention to detail. He was one of the first interior designers in Australia to embrace modern European design styles. In 1960 Riddell merged his practice with Marly Interiors, a successful interior design firm founded by Marly Wilson.
